Dear Journal:

Roger's in the hospital. A few days ago he tried to overdose himself on heroin. I was so scared. I thought I was gonna lose him. When he finally came around I asked him why he did it. April and Mimi. I'm beginning to realize he'll never be able to give himself to me fully, because he doesn't have all of his heart to give, April and Mimi both took part of it when they left him. It kinda worries me really. What if he never loves me the way he did them? What if I'm just a replacement?

He's sleeping now, came down with a cold or something on top of the heroin withdrawal. It hasn't been easy, but I'm gonna get him through this. I want him to see that I'm not like them, that I'm not gonna be like April and run away when I get scared, or like Mimi and put my own wants before his needs. I'm not them. I guess I should go before he wakes up, he's still got some time before the withdrawal wears off.
