That was Her, This is Me

Samantha was home alone in the loft that morning. Mark was out shooting for his newest documentary, and Roger had decided to go out for a walk now that he was home and feeling better. While the boys were gone, the brunette decided to clean the loft. Samantha cursed softly as the water bucket tipped over while she was cleaning the bathroom. She shook her head and managed to get most of it up before going to Collin's apartment to get some more towels. Little did she know that puddle was going to cause a very large panic.

Roger shiver slightly at the cold and decided he'd had enough of his walk; turning to head back home. He walked slowly, mostly just so his walk did seem as short as it really was.
Once he was back inside the apartment, he went to head towards his bedroom, frowning when he slipped on something in the hallway. As he used the wall to steady himself, he slowly looked down to see what he'd slipped on, freezing when he saw what it was. Realising which room he'd just passed, Roger's first reaction was to scream.

Within a few minutes Sammy returned to the loft. As she came through the door she saw Roger, standing frozen in the bathroom doorway. "Roger?"

Roger quickly turned around when he heard her voice. "S-Sammy..." He sobbed, quickly going over and wrapping his arms around her neck.

Sammy wrapped her arms around him. "I'm right here baby," she said gently. "Are you okay?"

"I...I thought ..." Roger sobbed, his head on Sammy's shoulder.

Sammy paused, confused before it hit her. "Oh Roger......you thought I'd done something didn't you, like April?"

"Yes..." Roger said, hugging Sammy tight.

Sammy held Roger close. "Baby I would never ever leave you like that."

"I know...I-I just saw the water and..." Roger said, trailing off. "I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize baby," said Sammy. "You were scared, it's okay to be scared."

"I should have thought about it first..." Roger told Sammy, kissing her head.

"I know what it's like to feel like history is repeating itself," said Sammy. "You had every right to be scared, but I'm right here, and I'm fine."

"I love you..." Roger said slowly, a blank look on his face.

"I love you too baby, so, so much, don't you ever forget that," said Sammy.

"I won't," Roger said, a small smile on his face. "Why else would I have been worried...?"

Sammy smiled. "I'm not like her Rog, I promise."

"Good," Roger said, smiling properly this time. "I...wouldn't be able to go through something like that...not again..." He added quietly.

"You won't have to," said Sammy, brushing a bit of Roger's hair from his face, and using her thumb to wipe away the tears.

"I know..." Roger said slowly, turning away. "I'm going to go lay down."

"You want me to come with you?" Sammy asked. "I will if you want."

"You don't have if there's other things you want to do..." Roger told her.

"Now that the loft is clean I've got nothing to do," said Sammy.

"Oh, ok then." Roger said, smiling as he turned back to Sammy, taking her hand.

Sammy squeezed his hand softly. "C'mon."
